PUBLIC SPEAKING

Excellent Program Available - John Brink on threats and opportunities in the value-added forest products sector in Northern BC

John Brink, President of Brink Forest Products in Prince George, is involved in an important communications program that is intended to create a better understanding by community leaders in our region of emerging threats of serious harm to our area economy. Mr. Brink is a recognized authority on the value-added forest sector in B.C. - and is an accomplished public speaker. He would welcome an opportunity to speak to your organization, and share his candid - and thought provoking views.

  • What will be the impact of a US countervailing duty on BC’s forest industry?
  • Can value-added lumber manufacturers survive a countervailing duty?
  • Just how serious is the potential for a lumber trade war just a few weeks from now?
  • Are local area jobs at risk?
  • Is there a future career in wood products? Classroom presentations to any age group.
  • Might Northern BC value added manufacturers move to the United States?

As the Canada-US softwood lumber trade dispute unfolds, these are questions being asked by everyone in North-Central BC. In many news releases, Mr. Brink has said that the issues are extremely serious - and he’s worried that nobody in Ottawa or Victoria appears to be doing anything about it. Although Mr. Brink’s comments will include government, please be assured he does not take a partisan political position in his remarks.

Copies of Mr. Brink’s news releases can be found in the news archive. If you would like to book John to speak to your club or organization, please contact him directly, by phoning 250-564-0412 or 250-960-9282.  Click here for John's biography .
