Millwright

We have an excellent opening for an experienced millwright for our busy fingerjoint operation who will take on the challenge of troubleshooting and maintaining one of our three block prep and fingerjoint lines. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong background in equipment repair and will have a solid millwright background in planer mills, fingerjointers or lumber manufacturing operations. Applicants must be good communicators and have the ability to work well under pressure.

Maintenance Superintendent

The company is growing rapidly and an opportunity exists for a seasoned Maintenance Superintendent to join the management team.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the successful applicant will have responsibility for overseeing a mechanical maintenance team of skilled trades employees and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have several years of supervisory experience preferably in a sawmill, planer or lumber-manufacturing environment. A Hands-on approach and the capacity to get the job done will be definite assets. Knowledge of modern maintenance and fabrication practices together with excellent trouble shooting skills and organizing ability are essential.

Fingerjoint Lead

The company is adding a third fingerjoint line at its Prince George location and requires a number fingerjoint leads. The successful candidates will have solid experience in the maintenance and operation of fingerjointers. A millwright background is an asset. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential together with a practical hands-on approach.

Responsibilities include the effective utilization of all resources, including people, machinery, raw materials and finished goods. The position is expected to provide the effeciency and productivity. The lead is responsible for the maintenance, knife grinding and set-up of the fingerjointer while ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards.
