Prince George is on a roll! That’s the view of John Brink the President of Brink Forest Products.

He says he is bullish when it comes to talking about Prince George’s future, and in spite of the significant impact of the Pine Beetle on forestry in the region, Prince George is on a roll. "We will have our total annual cut reduced by about 50% in northern BC" says Brink, but the secondary manufacturing sector, such as his own company, will soften the blow.

"Prices are at rock bottom right now, but I think that will change when there is some clarity around the soft wood lumber deal." Brink adds the forest industry has always been the driver of this region and will continue into the future, "Regardless of all that, because of our location, we will continue to grow."

Prince George has a very bright future says Brink "I think that we could hit a population of 200,000 in the next 10 years, it is the best place to invest in all of Canada. "
